We're finishing the Chrome Web Store review. In the meantime, install Nithic manually in four quick steps — every detection, every feature, fully working. The moment we ship to the Store, you'll auto-update.
Save the .zip and double-click to unzip. You'll get a folder named nithic-extension-v2.0.19. Drag it somewhere stable — Desktop or Documents — because Chrome will reload it from this exact path.
chrome://extensions.Paste the URL into your address bar — Chrome blocks regular pages from linking there.
Edge users: edge://extensions · Brave: brave://extensions · Arc inherits Chrome's path.
Top-right of the extensions page. Flip the switch — this lets Chrome run extensions you didn't get from the Web Store.
Click Load unpacked (top-left of the extensions page) and pick the nithic-extension-v2.0.19 folder you unzipped. Nithic loads instantly. Pin it to the toolbar for quick access.
Save the .zip and unzip it. You'll get a folder named nithic-firefox-v2.0.19 containing the extension's manifest.json.
about:debugging.Paste the URL — Firefox blocks regular pages from linking to about: URIs. Then click This Firefox in the left sidebar.
Click the Load Temporary Add-on… button. In the file picker, navigate into the nithic-firefox-v2.0.19 folder and select manifest.json directly (Firefox loads from the manifest, not the folder — opposite of Chrome).
Right-click Nithic's toolbar icon → Pin to Toolbar. The crystal shield should appear in the address bar — click it to confirm the popup loads.
You'll be prompted to migrate, and updates will flow automatically. The manual build you sideload today carries the same version channel — no data is lost on the migration.
